Difference between the creative and commercial shoots
Creative photoshoots where images produced are for educational and journalistic purposes, to be used in portfolio, published in books, magazines and newspapers not for advertisement. This includes photoshoots that involve personal, creative work for portfolio and not intended to sell the content of the image, rather at the most to showcase creativity of the artist. This also includes shoots where images are used only for personal purposes.
Commercial Shoots where photographic work is intended for commercial and advertising use. It may involve a client or agency that wants to sell/promote something that needs photographs taken, or personally commissioned photoshoots to produce stock images. Client usually pays for the rental.
Do we have special rates for students, organizations, and non-profit organizations?
Whitebox Studios cares about the creative industry, especially creative education. Students may enjoy 10% discount on the final bill, even after they graduate for one year
Whitebox Studios also offers CAPIC members 10% discount on the final bill. CAPIC is a non-profit organization designed to educate and help protect photographer rights.
Aside from these organizations, you may approach us regarding non-profit organizations by contacting us.
Do we give discounts for bulk hours?
Whitebox Studios is releasing a new rental service this April. We’re starting subscription rental, where you can buy 10, 20, 30 hours (or more, if you’d like) and commit to use it within 3 months! You’ll get discounted rates for those hours, and the same discount applies if you’d like to buy some more. It applies to creative shoots, with or without our equipment. We can also customize a special package too depending on your needs. All you need is to commit to using those hours. We want to see you spend more practice shooting time and getting paid for more shoots! For more information about this service, Contact the manager.
Hi — I am interested in your equipment and studio rental rates. Thanks, Robert
